Westwood Country Club is a distinguished family-oriented athletic club located in central Austin, dedicated to providing exceptional services and activities for our members' recreational and dining needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace to comply with local and state health regulations, ensuring the safety of our members, guests, and staff.
  • Prepare and cook all menu items according to established recipes and guidelines, working efficiently and with a sense of urgency.
  • Adhere to all country club policies related to kitchen operations.
  • Assist in the preparation of additional food items as required.
  • Keep workstations and equipment organized and clean; return used utensils and small wares to designated areas.
  • Practice safe and sanitary food handling techniques, managing leftover food items responsibly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Culinary Leadership team.
  • Rotate between various kitchens as necessary to meet operational demands.
  • Ensure the banquet preparation area is cleaned and organized at the end of each shift.
  • Communicate effectively with culinary leaders regarding all needs related to banquet production.
  • Organize and maintain all preparation items according to the standards set by the Culinary Leadership team.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume banquet kitchen environment.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves standing, walking, kneeling, bending, pushing, pulling, carrying, twisting, reaching, climbing, and the ability to lift at least fifty (50) pounds regularly. Candidates must be able to work in a hot, humid, and occasionally loud kitchen environment for extended periods, maintaining speed and accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
