Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping of products.
  • Supervise warehouse personnel, providing support in staff training, performance reviews, and workforce planning.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with regular inventory audits to ensure accurate record-keeping and minimize discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the Distribution Manager to identify areas for process improvements and implement solutions to optimize warehouse productivity and reduce errors.
  • Ensure the warehouse complies with all safety standards and protocols, conducting regular inspections and safety training for staff.
  • Work closely with the Logistics Manager to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, manage transportation schedules, and ensure timely deliveries to customers.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to inventory discrepancies, shipment delays, or system errors, working with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges quickly.
  • Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory, analyze productivity, and generate reports for upper management.
  • Assist in resolving any customer complaints or concerns related to warehouse operations and deliveries.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field is preferred, but relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse or distribution management, preferably in a supervisory or assistant managerial role.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and inventory management software.
