Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team at Lloyd & Cowan Veterinary Recruitment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess a wide range of veterinary skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough medical examinations on various animals to diagnose illnesses and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
  • Conduct surgical procedures as needed to ensure the health and wellbeing of animals.
  • Administer vaccinations and medications to prevent and treat illnesses.
  • Provide expert guidance on animal nutrition and general care to pet owners.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding treatment options and provide clear explanations of medical procedures.
  • Oversee the health and wellbeing of animals in the clinic or hospital setting, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements
  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
  • A state veterinary license in good standing, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Strong knowledge of animal care, including handling, restraint, and grooming techniques.
  • Experience with animal catheterization and restraint techniques, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Ability to manage a veterinary practice effectively, with strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and mutual respect.
Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $175,000.00 per year, offering a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
