Overview of the Housekeeper Position

We are in search of a skilled housekeeper responsible for the thorough maintenance of property models, vacant units, and all communal interior and exterior spaces. This role involves ensuring that the property is kept in a clean, safe, and welcoming condition while also identifying opportunities for site enhancements and repairs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning duties for available units and model homes, as well as common areas (such as the pool, gym, and property office). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, and maintaining outdoor spaces.
  • Adhere to safety protocols while executing tasks.
  • Follow manufacturer guidelines when utilizing cleaning chemicals or operating equipment.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are properly stored at the end of each shift.
  • Implement infection control measures and universal precautions during all cleaning activities.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the property manager.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Preferred experience of three to six months in a housekeeping role.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Capability to handle and de-escalate situations involving challenging individuals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Professional appearance and adherence to uniform policies are mandatory.
  • Compliance with all safety regulations is essential.
  • Completion of Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity, and Inclusion Training within the first month of employment is required.

Work Schedule

  • Must maintain a consistent schedule, which may include overtime, weekends, and non-traditional holidays.
  • Willingness to be on-call and assist during staffing shortages is necessary.

Work Environment

  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, including hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy environments.
  • Potential exposure to noise, vibrations, and confined spaces.
  • Frequent interaction with the public may lead to exposure to communicable diseases.
  • Possibility of encountering aggressive individuals.
  • Risk of exposure to chemicals, electrical hazards, heights, mechanical components, and fire.
