LPN Progressive Care Specialist

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in our Progressive Care Unit. As an LPN, you will work collaboratively with the Registered Nurse (RN) and other healthcare team members to provide individualized, comprehensive care to patients. Your clinical judgment and nursing skills will be essential in ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care by performing delegated basic patient care services.
- Collaborate with the RN and other team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document patient information accurately and timely, adhering to organizational policies.
- Manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks to ensure efficient and productive care delivery.
- Administer medications and narcotics according to hospital policies and procedures.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and hourly rounds to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Teach patients and families about self-care and provide education on discharge instructions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to regulatory standards.
- Current LPN licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia or multi-state privilege.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Graduate of a nursing program.
- Two years of LPN experience preferred.
- Specialty certification or membership in a national professional nursing organization is a plus.
