We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate pharmacist to join our team at UCLA Health as an Ambulatory Oncology/Infusion Pharmacist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient medication therapy and provide exceptional care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the medication management expert, providing accurate drug information to providers, nurses, and other clinical staff.
- Verify orders and make clinical interventions to ensure safe and effective medication use.
- Oversee compounding in alignment with USP, Board of Pharmacy, and other regulations.
- Ensure medications are received, stored, labelled, transported, and wasted appropriately.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient medication therapy.
- Doctor of Pharmacy Degree
- California Pharmacy license
- ASHP-accredited PGY2 oncology residency or at least 1 year of pharmacy practice experience in oncology
- Board Certification in Oncology (BCOP) preferred
- Previous infusion pharmacy experience preferred
- EPIC/Beacon experience preferred
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, organizational, and follow-through skills
- Knowledge of and ability to perform age-specific and disease-specific pharmacokinetic calculations
