Job Summary:

As a Career Development Specialist at Oklahoma State University, you will play a vital role in engaging students and alumni in career readiness activities. Your primary responsibility will be to provide individual consultations and career-related workshops, increasing the usage of career resources and platforms. You will also be responsible for creating career resources and developing strategic campus and community partnerships to support the career development of special populations, including first-generation students, transfer students, multicultural students, students with disabilities, international students, and student veterans. Additionally, you will participate in departmental and university career readiness efforts, tracking engagement and assessing services offered.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual consultations and career-related workshops to students and alumni
Create career resources and develop strategic campus and community partnerships
Participate in departmental and university career readiness efforts
Track engagement and assess services offered
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree
One year of related experience
Ability to obtain GCDF, CCSP, or other Career Services credentials within one year of hire
Career Development
Student Services
Public Speaking and Outreach
Resource Creation

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree
Experience providing educational or career support to undergraduate and graduate student populations
Higher education experience in career services, counseling, or related students, encompassing experience with multicultural student populations
GCDF, CCSP, or CCC certification
