Job Description

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Analog Integrated Circuit Design Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing analog circuits that provide regulated voltages, currents, and sense RF signals, as well as other circuit operating conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement analog circuits using transistor-level circuit design and analysis skills
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of fundamental semiconductor device physics
  • Work with a team to deliver full-custom ICs that provide the core functionality of our Advanced Multifunction Sensor products
  • Collaborate with other engineers to ensure good component matching and minimize errors due to parasitic effects
  • Use IC Layout tools to implement and verify circuit designs
Requirements:
  • B.S degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience, or 3 years with an M.S degree, or 0 years of experience with a PHD
  • Strong transistor-level circuit design and analysis skills
  • Good understanding of fundamental semiconductor device physics
  • Familiarity with common analog circuits such as amplifiers, bandgap voltage references, voltage regulators, as well as A/D and D/A converters
  • Familiarity with Signal processing functions such as Integrators, differentiators, and filters
  • Familiarity with schematic entry and simulation tools such as Cadence ADE, Explorer/Assembler, Virtuoso, and Spectre
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of multiple analog chip designs from tape-out to volume production
  • Use of robust design techniques backed up by simulation coverage
  • Accustomed following a rigorous design process with checkpoint reviews
