Electrical Instructor

We are seeking a qualified Electrical Instructor to join our team at Bladen Community College. As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction in electrical courses, promoting student success and retention, and contributing to the college's mission and vision.

• Design and implement engaging instructional activities, incorporating the latest technologies and teaching strategies to promote student learning and retention.
• Develop and deliver college-level instruction in electrical concepts and principles, ensuring that content covers approved competencies and meets industry standards.
• Maintain a safe and efficient classroom environment, adhering to college policies and procedures.
• Evaluate student performance, provide detailed feedback, and use retention software to support student success.
• Complete all required college records, including attendance and grades, in a timely and efficient manner.
• Be available to teach nights and/or weekends as needed.

To be successful in this role, you must possess an Associate degree or higher in Electrical or Electronics or a related field, along with relevant industry experience. Industry-recognized credentials and/or related work experience will also be considered. A good understanding of electronics and industrial controls is preferred.

You should be able to read, analyze, and interpret policies, procedures, and governmental regulations. Additionally, you should be able to write reports and business correspondence, present information effectively, and respond to questions from various stakeholders.

This is a part-time position, and the selected candidate will not be eligible for benefits.
