We are seeking a qualified Electrical Instructor to join our team at Bladen Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction in electrical studies, promoting student success and retention, and contributing to the college's mission and vision.

• Design and implement engaging instructional activities, incorporating the latest instructional and interactive learning technologies.
• Provide effective instruction in electrical concepts and principles, ensuring that content covers approved competencies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient classroom/lab environment.
• Evaluate student performance and provide detailed feedback to help improve student learning outcomes.
• Use the college's student information system and retention software to support student success.
• Complete all required college records, including attendance and grades, in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ability to teach nights and/or weekends as needed.

To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess an Associate degree or higher in Electrical or Electronics or a related field, and relevant industry experience is preferred. Industry recognized credentials and/or related work experience will also be considered. NCCER and National Electrical Code certification, as well as a good understanding of electronics and industrial controls, is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies, procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence, and effectively present information to various audiences, is also required. Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

The successful candidate will work in an indoor environment, with occasional travel required. Evening and weekend hours may be necessary. The position is not benefits-eligible.
