Job Summary:

As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will work closely with patients to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, providing guidance and support throughout their recovery journey. Your expertise and empathy will help patients overcome the challenges of addiction and achieve a healthier, more fulfilling life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for patients
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to support patients' recovery
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Document patient interactions and progress in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., counseling, psychology, social work)
  • State-specific counseling certification (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW)
  • Minimum 500 hours of experience in substance abuse treatment (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
