Job Title: Infection Preventionist

The Infection Preventionist is a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of patients and staff in our healthcare facilities. As an Infection Preventionist, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining infection prevention and control policies, procedures, and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures
  • Conduct surveillance and monitoring of infection rates and trends
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify and address infection control issues
  • Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention and control practices
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to reduce infection rates
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology, or related field
  • 1 year of healthcare experience
  • 1 year of epidemiology experience
  • Certified in Infection Control within 1 year of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology, or related field
  • 4 years of healthcare experience
  • 2 years of epidemiology experience
  • Certified Infection Control upon hire
