About Us

ADESA, a Carvana owned company, operates over 50 locations across the US. Our auto auctions, some spanning up to 200 acres, provide a wide range of vehicle services, including repair and reconditioning, auction remarketing, and distribution center operations. Our inventory comprises hundreds of thousands of vehicles across North America, from retail to commercial, OEM, and more.

Role and Team

As a key member of our team, you will assist with outside operations and functions of one or more departments, including Dealer Consignment, Factory, Fleet/Lease, and Commercial Accounts. You will work closely with our designated manager to ensure maximum dollar sales volume in the most profitable way possible.

Responsibilities
  • Perform duties in compliance with all contractual customer agreements.
  • Use AuctionTrac to scan inventory and record vehicle movement.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory in designated areas of the lot.
  • Participate in physical inventory on a periodic basis.
  • Act as liaison between auction and designated accounts as needed.
  • Recommend repairs to mechanical and body shop based on account criteria and revenue generation.
  • Determine vehicles requiring outside orders.
  • Review and write repair orders and coordinate with shops.
  • Locate, number, and place vehicles not needing shop work on the spot.
  • Determine or confirm vehicle mileage for inside administrators.
  • Perform physical verification of year, miles, and VIN number of each vehicle before sale.
  • Communicate with shop and operational personnel for efficient inventory flow.
  • Place initial stickers on vehicles for designated shops.
  • Move vehicles requiring services to proper staging areas.
  • Flag vehicles, add final stickers, and mark numbers on windshield.
  • Walk vehicles with reps prior to sale to check shop work and final recon.
  • Take pictures of inoperable vehicles for sale as needed.
  • Track missing units and assist transporters in locating vehicles.
  • Locate redemption units upon request and assist administrative staff.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Must have the ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent standing, watching, touching, listening, walking, and talking. Potential for running, jumping, yelling, or other rapid or forceful movement in emergency situations.

Visual Acuity Requirements

Color, depth perception, and field of vision comparable to definitions for Clerical, Administrative, Machine Operators (including inspection) positions.

Working Conditions

This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental working conditions, including temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems.
