Job Title: Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team at Mercedes Diaz Homes Inc. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and community.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities, hygiene, and medication management.
  • Assist individuals with their social needs, such as preparing meals, cleaning, and engaging in recreational activities.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to promote independence and quality of life.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Relevant experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
  • Current driver's license and California automobile insurance coverage.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
