Job Overview

Ability Builders ABA Co. is seeking a skilled Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide ABA therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement behavior intervention plans tailored to each client's unique needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to address skill deficits and behavior excesses in clients.
  • Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to individuals with ASD or developmental disabilities in various settings, such as homes, schools, or community-based environments.
  • Collect and record data on client progress, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including BCBAs, speech therapists, and parents, to create and maintain a cohesive treatment approach.
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) as needed to inform the development of effective intervention strategies.
  • Assist clients in acquiring and generalizing new skills across different environments.
  • Implement behavior reduction procedures to address challenging behaviors and promote adaptive alternatives.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay informed about the latest ABA techniques and best practices.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive rapport with clients, families, and team members.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and guidelines outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and maintain client confidentiality.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician training program.
  • Current RBT certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • $20.00 flat mileage rate reimbursement per pay period, with no employee traveling more than 2 times a week.
  • Full-time benefits include health, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance, as well as 7 paid holidays and PTO.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow and implement behavior intervention plans with fidelity.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with special needs.

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
