Job Title: Appellate Litigation Paralegal

We are seeking a highly skilled Appellate Litigation Paralegal to join our team at a leading law firm in Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement litigation case management systems, including file management, case calendaring, and discovery-related tasks.
  • Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to review and prepare documents, including privilege logs and searches.
  • Draft and review routine legal documents as requested by attorneys.
  • Conduct research under attorney supervision, staying up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Interact with external entities, such as courts, government agencies, and expert witnesses, to gather information and coordinate activities.

Requirements:

  • BA or BS degree required; Paralegal Certification is a plus.
  • Previous trial experience, particularly with high-profile cases.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple matters and prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Availability for overtime and travel as needed.
