Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Field Tech Lead in conducting assessments and inspections to identify energy-saving opportunities.
  • Work with contractors to schedule, survey, and prepare for assessments and audits.
  • Review income documentation, assessment information, and audits to ensure accurate and efficient work assignments.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with contractors and other staff members.
  • Train field tech assistants and ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and maintain records of client product disbursement.
  • Collaborate with the CEAP department to conduct assessments as scheduled.
  • Maintain proficiency in Department of Labor guidelines and ensure compliance.
Work Environment

The Weatherization Technician will work in a variety of settings, including offices, client homes, and community environments. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver's license required for recruitment and outreach activities.
  • Criminal background check required prior to employment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb stairs.
  • Regular sitting, computer keyboarding, and phone use required.
  • Intermediate reading and writing skills required.
Compensation

$19.00 per hour. The Greater East Texas Community Action Program is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
