About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team at Life Science Logistics.

Job Description
  • Job Summary: We are looking for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in warehouse management and leadership skills to oversee daily operations, ensure smooth logistics, and drive business growth.

The successful candidate will have excellent time management skills, impeccable verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to conduct thorough research as needed.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead Warehouse Operations: Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities, including receipt, storage, and shipping of materials, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to productivity goals.
  2. Coordinate Staff Training: Develop and implement training programs for new and current employees, focusing on personal safety, forklift safety, warehouse policy and procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  3. Maintain Warehouse Efficiency: Collaborate with internal and external customers to resolve discrepancies related to shipping, receiving, or inventory, while implementing corrective actions and improving processes.
  4. Analyze Performance Metrics: Compile daily productivity and reliability statistics for management, ensuring accurate data-driven decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree plus 3 years distribution and warehouse management experience, with a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience required.
  • Tech Expertise: Familiarity with ERP systems, intermediate Microsoft Office skills, and experience with warehouse or supply chain environments and transportation.
  • Physical/Mental Demands: Work is light to medium in nature, requiring frequent walking, occasional lifting of 50-75 lbs., and ability to communicate clearly with shippers and employees.
