Position Overview

The Town of Brookline's Department of Public Works is looking for a skilled Motor Equipment Operator III to engage in the operation of heavy machinery and perform essential manual tasks related to the installation, repair, and maintenance of water and sewer infrastructure, as well as highway construction and upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment for various public works projects.
  • Conduct manual labor tasks associated with water and sewer line maintenance.
  • Assist in the construction and repair of roadways.
  • Perform snow and ice removal duties as needed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma and have one to two years of relevant experience in operating heavy machinery and trucks. Experience with packers and snow removal equipment is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid Commercial Driver's License, Class A.
  • Must possess a valid MA Hoisting Engineer's License.
