Job Overview

AESC Group is seeking a highly skilled Capital Expenditure Purchasing Manager to join our team in the US. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing large-scale construction projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and requirements, and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement procurement strategies for construction services, engineering, and materials based on project plans.
  2. Stay up-to-date with market trends and source the best products and services for the business at reasonable prices.
  3. Create and execute procurement plans, including bidding and tendering, vendor nomination, and contract management.
  4. Manage vendor contracts, track payments, and renegotiate business plans as needed.
  5. Utilize SAP to manage PO/PR requirements and identify cost-saving solutions to support company industrial development.
  6. Partner with suppliers and vendors globally to identify strategies for scaling second product development.
  7. Coordinate and support global plant launch equipment and direct material-related project issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or supply chain.
  • 5+ years of proven success in procurement/contract management, preferably in MEP/CSA, construction, or facilities space of large industrial construction projects ($100 million USD+ capex).
  • Required technical skills include Microsoft Office Suite (particularly MS Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint), Power BI, and SAP.
  • Experience in strategic sourcing, cost analyses, and contract negotiations is required.
  • Experience in project controls or construction management is preferred.
  • Experience in semi-conductor, battery, construction, or automotive industry is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Experience in training and mentoring peers on best practices for project management and execution is a plus.
Work Environment

The work environment is primarily an automated manufacturing plant with a concrete floor and is characterized by some temperature extremes, moderate noise, and forklift traffic. The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees, management, customers, and suppliers.
