Job Title: Quality Assurance Inspector

Vishay Intertechnology Inc is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be responsible for performing in-process and final visual inspections of raw, metalized, and patterned ceramic substrates using stereo zoom and high-power microscopes, micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform in-process and final visual inspections of ceramic substrates
  • Measure products using micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools
  • Read diagrams and specifications to ensure quality standards are met
  • Accept or reject finished products based on inspection results
  • Discuss inspection results with production teams and provide feedback
  • Ability to interpret test data and perform First Article Inspection
  • May be required to perform other duties as needed
Requirements:
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-5 years' experience in quality assurance inspection
  • Ability to read and understand workmanship standards and military standards
  • Computer skills and data entry experience
  • MIC Hybrid circuit inspection experience or MIC assembly a plus
  • Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Technical knowledge of basic inspection tools and equipment
  • Proficient in English with good communication skills
  • Good manual dexterity for handling small components under a microscope
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with constant change
  • Able to prioritize job flows and manage time efficiently
  • Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities
  • Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices and safety procedures
  • Prior experience working for ISO 9000 certified company
Work Environment:

Work is performed primarily in a lab environment. The employee is regularly required to communicate, talk, and listen. May be required to sit, stand, walk for periods of time; bend, stoop, and twist; closely observe items through a microscope, and perform various repetitive fine grasping motions; use a variety of small hand tools to perform various operations when required; operate a computer and enter information using a keyboard, operate a telephone, and other office equipment for an extended period of time.

As some visual inspection duties will also be required, specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Some physical strength and stamina are required for regular cleaning duties. May be exposed to hot/cold conditions, high-volume noise, exposure to stored energy hazards (electricity, compressed gases, etc.), and/or hazardous materials such as chemicals (e.g. alcohol, acetone, acids, solvents, and photo resist) or particulate matter.
