About the Position:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Care Tech to join our team at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes - Camden. As a Patient Care Tech, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting/hygiene, and mobility and transport.
- Perform technical duties as directed by RN/LPN, such as vital signs, point of care testing, bladder scanning, and foley catheter care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to a culture of excellence.
- Assist in the orientation of new hires and provide guidance and support as needed.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Grade Equivalent Diploma (GED) required.
- Successful completion of a PCT course, fundamentals nursing course in an RN program, Certified Nursing Assistant program, or equivalent experience in direct patient care.
- BLS certification.
- Phlebotomy training/education required for Emergency Department positions.
