Position Title:
Cardiac Monitoring Technician

Reporting Structure:
Reports to: Registered Nurse

Job Summary:
This role is pivotal in facilitating order management, communication within Medical-Telemetry Units, and ensuring high-quality service to patients, families, and visitors. The Cardiac Monitoring Technician plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer care.

Key Responsibilities:

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Transcribing physician directives;
  • Acting as a communication hub for staff, physicians, and ancillary departments;
  • Maintaining logs and records for the unit;
  • Managing the inventory of unit supplies.
Additionally, the technician is responsible for the precise monitoring of cardiac patients to ensure their safety and well-being.

Qualifications:
Mandatory requirements include:
  • At least one year of experience as a Unit Secretary. In lieu of this experience, candidates with a strong educational background in medical terminology and computer proficiency will be considered.
  • Successful completion of an EKG Course.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare providers, to be obtained within 90 days of employment.
