Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assisting with surgical procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery
- Perform physical examinations and patient assessments, including venipuncture and catheter placement
- Conduct laboratory work, including radiology and laboratory testing
- Provide compassionate care to hospitalized animals, including administering medications and monitoring vital signs
- Assist with dentistry procedures, including cleaning and polishing teeth
- Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest veterinary techniques and technologies
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in veterinary technology or a related field preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a veterinary technician; experience in a veterinary hospital or clinic setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with veterinarians, veterinary assistants, and other hospital staff
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods; ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
