About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our Patient Access Center, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless patient scheduling and access to our medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Schedule patient appointments for multiple medical specialty clinics, utilizing expertise in electronic medical scheduling systems.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and efficient patient scheduling, minimizing wait times and improving patient satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers, promoting a culture of empathy and respect.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing medical policies, procedures, and regulations, ensuring compliance and adherence to University and medical center standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a customer service role, with a strong background in electronic medical scheduling systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, insurance programs, and government regulations.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while maintaining a high level of productivity and accuracy.
  • Preferred qualifications include prior EPIC experience, bilingual skills, and knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, and procedures.
