The RN utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients, incorporating patient-family centered care principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in the Post Surgical Unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized plans of care that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Document patient education and learning in the health record, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
  • At least one year of acute care experience or two years of experience in a licensed healthcare role
