Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide occupational health services and education to clients based on their medical and psychosocial needs. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, providing quality care to clients in accordance with generally accepted standards of professional practice and the policies of the center.
Key Responsibilities- Provide quality occupational health care services to clients in accordance with generally accepted standards of professional practice and the policies of the center.
- Review all medical histories of clients upon initial visit to the center and thereafter as appropriate.
- Coordinate onsite medical care and onsite medical interventions as needed.
- Provide support to the team, including Medical Assistants, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants.
- Participate in the center's performance improvement program, which includes a planned and systematic process for monitoring and assessing the quality and appropriateness of patient care and clinical performance.
- Stay knowledgeable about occupational health policies and regulations that may affect patient care programs.
- Participate in center's in-service training programs.
- Complete accurate and timely submission of all clinical and professional records in the EMR to ensure compliance with local, state, federal regulatory, licensure, and accreditation requirements.
- Work to create a positive work culture with cross-departmental teams and align this work with other healthcare initiatives.
- Utilize established channels of communication and support team building efforts.
- Participate in quarterly performance improvement committee meetings.
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
- Recognize, accept, and respect people as individuals.
- Graduate of an accredited program as a registered nurse. Master's degree required.
- Established Collaborative Agreement.
- Experience using EMR/EHR.
- Licensed and currently registered as a Registered Nurse and Certified as an Adult, Family Nurse Practitioner by the New York State Education Department.
- Possess effective oral and written communication skills and customer service skills.
- Good computer literacy skills with the ability to process automated health records accurately.
- Must obtain a Medical Examiner Certification within 3 months of hire.
