Position Summary:
We are currently seeking an Associate Underwriter to join our dynamic E&S Property team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid setting, allowing for flexibility and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwriting Authority:
Assist in the issuance of quotes and binders as authorized by the Senior Underwriter. - Review policy issuance and conduct thorough inspection analyses to identify issues and implement necessary changes.
- Support Underwriters by processing submissions and providing account triage.
- Compile necessary information for quoting and binding accounts.
- Generate and manage correspondence on behalf of Underwriters, including declination letters and follow-ups.
- Develop a foundational understanding of underwriting principles and market dynamics.
- Foster relationships with producers and provide exceptional customer service.
- Participate in travel with Underwriters as needed.
- Perform additional clerical and administrative tasks as assigned.
- A Bachelor’s degree or 2 to 4 years of experience in the insurance sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
