As a key member of our Crops Department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of duties and services, primarily at our Waterloo Agronomy Location and occasionally at other Gateway FS facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality custom application through the effective operation of custom application machinery and equipment.
  • Assist in sales and marketing of all products.
  • Unload/load and stack fertilizer, seed, feed, and chemical products and packaging.
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts, loaders, trucks, and custom application equipment.
  • Handle, load, and deliver anhydrous ammonia, dry fertilizer, seed, and chemicals.
  • Perform housekeeping and maintenance to all equipment, vehicles, and facilities.
  • Work at various other locations as directed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or a minimum of one year of related work experience.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to acquire a chemical license.
  • Current CDL with HAZMAT endorsement (Class A preferred), DOT Physical, and Drug Test.
  • Must be willing to work seasonally long hours and overtime when needed.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl for various lengths of time.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
