Storm Drainage Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Storm Drainage Design Engineer to join our team in Bellevue, Washington. As a key member of our Design-Build practice, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting infrastructure projects, including large-scale transportation projects for the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct stormwater design and drainage design revisions for Design-Build contracts
  • Produce final design plans and calculations that meet WSDOT standards and Request for Proposal requirements
  • Work on storm drainage design and hydraulic modeling for highway and fish passage projects
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, provide detailed calculations, and produce construction plans and drainage reports
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
  • Washington PE license or ability to attain within two years
  • 4-9 years of experience in highway-related drainage design
  • Direct design experience with low impact development-type stormwater treatment techniques
  • Ability to work independently and manage design tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Recent WSDOT highway drainage design experience, especially for Design-Build
  • Proficiency with Inroads (3D)
  • Experience on Design-Build projects
  • Familiarity with 1D and 2D HEC-RAS Models, SRH2D Models
