We are seeking a skilled Powder Painter to join our team at Metalcraft of Mayville. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for applying powder paint on production parts with precision and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:- Apply powder paint using manual powder gun application
- Troubleshoot powder application issues to ensure high-quality finishes
- Perform color changes on automatic powder application equipment
- Follow direction from the powder room coordinator to apply powder in specific areas of parts
- Advance skills through the powder application process to improve efficiency and quality
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to good housekeeping practices
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required
- Report any issues with defective parts or needed improvements to ensure quality
- Mark defective products to prevent them from being passed to customers
- Work overtime to support customer demands or perform preventative maintenance
- Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a team and coordinate with other departments
- Aptitude to take orders and execute tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of basic print reading and torque values
- 2 years of experience with powder application or equivalent experience
- Basic computer knowledge
- High school degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution
- Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation, and ability to multitask
