Job Summary

The Powder Painter is a key member of our production team, responsible for applying powder paint on production parts. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply powder paint using manual powder gun application
  • Troubleshoot powder application issues and implement solutions
  • Perform color changes on automatic powder application equipment
  • Follow direction from the powder room coordinator on powder application procedures
  • Contribute to a clean and organized work environment, adhering to good housekeeping practices
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required
  • Identify and report any quality issues or defects
  • Work overtime as needed to support customer demands or perform preventative maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards


Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and coordinate with other departments
  • Aptitude to take orders and execute tasks efficiently
  • Knowledge of basic print reading and torque values
  • 2 years of experience with powder application or equivalent
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • High school degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution
  • Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation, and ability to multitask
