Job Summary

Orange Hill Restaurant Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team. As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation of our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dishwashing: Efficiently wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing equipment.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas, including dishwashing station, sinks, and storage areas.
  • Assist Kitchen Team: Support kitchen staff by ensuring a steady supply of clean dishes and utensils during peak service times.
  • Adherence to Sanitation Standards: Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals, to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of dishes to customers.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-volume dishwashing efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Demands
  • Frequent lifting, moving and carrying of kitchen ware, cleaning equipment, food boxes, garbage etc. weighing up to 50 pounds in the BOH.
  • Regular and prolonged standing and walking
  • Occasional ascending/descending stairs across the restaurant to move food items, equipment, etc.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
  • Frequent use of hand to finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms
  • Constant bending, stooping and turning to place dishes in machine, etc.
  • Constant exposure to hot and damp temperature fluctuations
