Job Title: VP Principal Security Architect

LPL Financial Holdings, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled VP Principal Security Architect to join our team. As a key member of our Information Security team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure cloud and data security architectures.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with security engineers to review and provide guidance on technology projects through the SDLC process.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on data security, including industry best practices and standards.
  • Design and implement best-of-class cloud and data security architecture designs and patterns.
  • Collaborate with data architects to secure data with encryption and/or tokenization.
  • Document, socialize, maintain, and train stakeholders on security requirements.
  • Conduct project security reviews and oversee the implementation of approved recommendations.
  • Analyze potential impact of new threats and exploits, develop and implement solutions to mitigate those threats.
  • Identify, design, and build secure solutions for highly available production environments.
  • Participate in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of technology solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest cloud security trends, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in cloud security, preferably AWS.
  • 8+ years of experience in data security, including databases, data warehouses, and data platforms.
  • 8+ years of experience in encryption and tokenization.
  • 8+ years of experience working knowledge of information security controls, guidelines, and standards.
  • 8+ years of experience with technical knowledge/coding skills in Java, C#, Ruby, or Python.

  • Self-driven, flexible, and highly adept at consulting, negotiating, communicating, consensus building, and presenting.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CCSP or other cloud-specific certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS and its core services.
  • Working knowledge of Terraform, Cloud Formation, Pulumi, and/or Ansible.
  • Solid experience securing scalable web architectures and distributed systems.
  • Solid understanding of malware, emerging threats, attacks, and vulnerability management.
