VP Principal Security Architect

LPL Financial Holdings, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled VP Principal Security Architect to join our team. As a key member of our Information Security team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure cloud and data security architectures.
Responsibilities:- Collaborate with security engineers to review and provide guidance on technology projects through the SDLC process.
- Provide subject matter expertise on data security, including industry best practices and standards.
- Design and implement best-of-class cloud and data security architecture designs and patterns.
- Collaborate with data architects to secure data with encryption and/or tokenization.
- Document, socialize, maintain, and train stakeholders on security requirements.
- Conduct project security reviews and oversee the implementation of approved recommendations.
- Analyze potential impact of new threats and exploits, develop and implement solutions to mitigate those threats.
- Identify, design, and build secure solutions for highly available production environments.
- Participate in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of technology solutions.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest cloud security trends, technologies, and best practices.
- 8+ years of experience in cloud security, preferably AWS.
- 8+ years of experience in data security, including databases, data warehouses, and data platforms.
- 8+ years of experience in encryption and tokenization.
- 8+ years of experience working knowledge of information security controls, guidelines, and standards.
- 8+ years of experience with technical knowledge/coding skills in Java, C#, Ruby, or Python.
- Self-driven, flexible, and highly adept at consulting, negotiating, communicating, consensus building, and presenting.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performance.
- CCSP or other cloud-specific certification.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS and its core services.
- Working knowledge of Terraform, Cloud Formation, Pulumi, and/or Ansible.
- Solid experience securing scalable web architectures and distributed systems.
- Solid understanding of malware, emerging threats, attacks, and vulnerability management.
LPL Financial Holdings, Inc. offers a competitive salary range of $149,000.00 - $248,300.00, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including 401K matching, health benefits, employee stock options, paid time off, and more.
