Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our Finance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and consistency of financial data for reporting, grant management, and cash management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial data for reporting, grant management, and cash management.
  • Direct the preparation and timely delivery of financial reports to senior leadership and the finance committee and board of directors.
  • Manage the center's annual and month-end closing, ensuring that accounts are properly reconciled and highlighting inconsistencies or unusual transactions.
  • Prepare and report financial statements that conform to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise the finance team and provide guidance on financial policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement financial systems and processes to ensure accuracy and security of financial records and source documents.
  • Provide productivity reports weekly, monthly, and annually by service line and by site department.
Qualifications
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a finance team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Access, and accounting software such as Fund EZ and Great Plains.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting, balancing, and reconciliations.
Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or CPA/CMA preferred. 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting systems, internal controls, and accounting knowledge.
