Job Summary:
The Clinical Nurse Manager - Oncology will be responsible for planning, directing, and evaluating the overall clinical care and functions of the oncology department. This includes overseeing the activities of the clinical areas, directing, organizing, and assigning work to the clinical team, which includes nurses, medical assistants, and pharmacy technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, monitor, and educate all clinical staff on patient care.
- Institute emergency procedures as necessary.
- Assure compliance with all standard operating procedures and regulations in the assigned areas.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of all facets of the role, relevant regulations, and organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Licensed RN in the state of employment.
- Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in nursing is required.
- Oncology Nurse certification (OCN) required.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid state Driver's License for travel to satellite offices and offsite meetings.
- Five (5) years of experience in the healthcare field in a clinic or hospital setting.
- Three (3) years of management experience preferred.
