We are seeking an experienced Medical Director to join our team at Aya Locums. As a Medical Director, you will have the opportunity to lead and manage our locum hematology/oncology physicians in providing exceptional patient care.

This is a unique opportunity for a skilled physician to take on a leadership role and contribute to the growth and development of our organization. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and experience in managing and leading healthcare teams.

The salary for this position is $500-$600 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to the hourly rate, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.

As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing medical direction and oversight to our locum hematology/oncology physicians
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures for our hematology/oncology services
  • Coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Conducting quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Board certification in hematology and/or oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM)
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in Alaska
  • At least one year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a leadership role
