Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled PCB Supplier Industrialization Engineer to join our team at Tesla. As a key member of our electronics portfolio, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality PCBs are manufactured and delivered to our standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with design engineers to optimize PCB layouts for manufacturability and guide them on design for manufacturing (DFM) principles.
  • Develop and maintain PCB specifications, criteria, and reliability standards to drive supplier performance and improve quality.
  • Review and define APQP/PPAP requirements for tier 2 PCB suppliers and conduct audits to assess their capabilities.
  • Drive quality improvements and cost reductions through process optimization, material selection, and technology advancements.
  • Participate in cost reduction initiatives and explore new technologies to enhance PCB manufacturing processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in PCB manufacturing or industrializing and managing PCB suppliers.
  • Subject matter expertise in rigid, flex, rigid-flex, HDI, and IC substrate fabrication.
  • Familiarity with quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, SPC, RCCA, and related methods like control charts and Pareto analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of industry specifications and standards, especially IPC and JEDEC.
  • Experience with optimizing PCB panel design, material selection, and cost vs. capacity analysis.
  • International travel required to engage with manufacturing partners.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
