Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain design rules and guidelines for all Tesla products
  • Collaborate with design engineers to ensure production processes and printed circuit board technologies meet design requirements
  • Work closely with PCB layout designers and EE design engineers to create design rules and provide feedback
  • Assess and manage PCB suppliers and PCBA contract manufacturers to ensure production process efficiency and quality
  • Participate in cost reduction initiatives by exploring new process, materials, and technologies
  • Manage RFQs and contracts, ensuring Non-Disclosure Agreements, General Terms & Conditions, and Piece Price Agreements are negotiated and documented
  • Drive negotiation for piece price and product development to meet best-landed-cost expectations and Supplier Industrialization standards
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in design for manufacturing, DFA, and DFT for PCB and PCBA
  • Strong knowledge of industry specifications and standards, including IPC and JEDEC
  • Experience with DFM software applications, such as Valor and Vayo
  • Subject matter expertise in solder paste, stencil design, and stencil apertures
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
