Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Caregiver Lead to join our team. As a Caregiver Lead, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care and services are provided to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Supervisory Support: Take attendance at the beginning of every shift, manage call-offs/no shows, and send open shift messages and respond to shift requests.
- Team Support: Provide support to team members as they provide Activities of Daily Living (ADL) care and services to residents in accordance with their Individualized Service Plans (ISP).
- Documentation: Accurately document care and services provided to residents, review care manager documentation throughout the shift, and identify and bridge gaps in documentation by coaching team members.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with Sunrise's Timekeeping and Meal/Rest Period policies, monitor team member break schedule and duration, and ensure care managers clock in/out using correct job codes.
- Leadership: Display and encourage flexibility in work schedule, work holidays, evenings, weekends, and additional shifts when necessary, and prepare for shift by obtaining resident group assignments before care managers arrive.
- Education: High School diploma or GED strongly preferred and may be required per state regulations.
- Communication: Ability to read, write, communicate effectively with Care Managers, Community Managers, residents, and family members.
- Certifications: In states where appropriate, must maintain applicable certifications, and must be at least 18 years of age.
- Medication Management: Medication Management Certificate required; ongoing training and re-education per Sunrise and state requirements.
- Leadership Competencies: Demonstrates leadership competencies, ability to delegate assignments to the appropriate individuals based on their skills, roles, and interests, and ability to make choices, decisions, and act in the residents' best interest.
