About the Role

The Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (FNIH) is seeking a highly skilled Digital Strategy Officer to join our Communications team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our digital communications strategy to raise awareness about the FNIH brand and its impact in biomedical science and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive digital marketing strategy to engage key audiences, including research partners, scientists, philanthropic individuals and foundations, patient advocacy groups, NIH employees and leadership, FNIH employees, and science- and health-engaged consumers.
  • Build and maintain social media channels, including Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube, and create engaging content to drive audience engagement.
  • Collaborate with our team and agency partners to develop a content calendar and create high-quality content, including graphics, videos, and written content.
  • Monitor and analyze digital metrics to measure the effectiveness of our digital marketing efforts and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest digital trends and best practices and apply this knowledge to improve our digital marketing efforts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Technologies, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of experience in digital communications, social media, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels, online marketing tools, and best practices.
  • Excellent writing, design, and editing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
About the FNIH

This is a hybrid position requiring regular visits to FNIH headquarters in Bethesda, MD. Additional occasional travel may be required for meetings and/or events.
