We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Service Assistant to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a Food Service Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of food service to our residents and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and record proper temperature of food to ensure food safety and quality.
  • Set up and maintain a clean and sanitized serving area, including dishwashing and cleaning equipment.
  • Prepare and serve food items, including restocking food areas and cleaning and sanitizing equipment.
  • Comply with Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines for food service.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and effectively communicate with patrons and co-workers.
  • Maintain quality control standards and ensure that all food service areas meet health and safety regulations.
  • Operate equipment such as grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, and refrigerators and freezers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 16 years of age.
  • Previous customer service experience, retail counting and reconciliation of money, and knowledge of food service preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
  • Ability to perform basic math.
  • On-the-job training will be provided.
