Job Summary

The Food Service Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of food service to our residents. This position is responsible for monitoring and recording proper food temperatures, setting up and maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area, preparing and serving food items, restocking food areas, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and adhering to Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate with patrons and co-workers are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and record proper food temperatures
  • Set up and maintain a clean and sanitized serving area
  • Prepare and serve food items
  • Restock food areas
  • Clean and sanitize equipment
  • Adhere to HACCP guidelines
  • Provide outstanding customer service
  • Effectively communicate with patrons and co-workers
Requirements
  • Minimum of 16 years of age
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Knowledge of food service preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions
  • Ability to perform basic math
