Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled EEG Technologist I to join our neurodiagnostic team at Arkansas Children's Hospital. As an EEG Technologist I, you will be responsible for performing EEG procedures, maintaining patient safety, and communicating effectively with patients and healthcare staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform EEG procedures according to facility policy and procedures
  • Maintain patient safety during clinically significant events
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff
  • Continuously learn and apply basic and intermediate EEG waveform recognition, relevant medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, infection control, current HIPAA practices, contraindications for activation procedures, instrumentation, and preparation for use
  • Identify and perform basic and intermediate technical troubleshooting and artifact identification and eliminations
  • Understand and follow concepts of digital equipment and electrical safety within the EEG unit
  • Familiar with facility policy and procedures for completion of the technical EEG report, charging procedures, and logging the patient into files
Requirements
  • 1 of the following EEG Pathways - Recommended Certifications: EEG Pathway I - CAAHEP Accredited NDT Program, EEG Pathway III - Associates Degree/RPSGT, EEG Pathway II - Non-CAAHEP Formal NDT Program, EEG Pathway IV - Practice Track
  • Documentation of 50 EEGs, 100 EEGs, or 150 EEGs, depending on the chosen pathway
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
