Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and imaginative VFX Artist to enhance our game cinematics division. The successful candidate will possess a deep enthusiasm for visual storytelling and a robust ability to craft breathtaking visual effects for gaming applications. As a VFX Artist, you will collaborate with producers and fellow artists to transform creative visions into reality through state-of-the-art visual effects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create photorealistic real-time visual effects (such as explosions, fire, and smoke) utilizing Unreal Engine Niagara and Houdini.
- Collaborate closely with the CG Supervisor, Art Director, and other artists to enrich gameplay and cinematic experiences.
- Ensure that FX content is optimized, adheres to budget constraints, and aligns with project objectives.
- Prototype visual effects and materials to enhance the tone and pacing of gameplay.
- Work with Leads and Production to estimate and schedule FX tasks for future milestones, break down deliverables, and provide updates.
- Research and document innovative workflows, contributing to the enhancement of processes.
- Demonstrate initiative and independence in executing high-level direction.
- Serve as a mentor and inspiration to others, exemplifying initiative, accountability, and a positive attitude.
Qualifications:
- 5 to 8 years of experience in visual effects for gaming, film, or related fields.
- A strong portfolio that showcases realistic, real-time visual effects work.
- Proficiency in VFX software such as Houdini, 3ds Max, and Maya.
- A solid understanding of in-game FX performance, memory budgets, and PBR principles.
- Preferred: Experience with Unreal Engine, EmberGen, Python scripting, or film visual effects.
