Job Title: Warehouse Team Lead

At Mircom Group of Companies, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our warehouse, ensuring that all orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Entry and Inventory Management: Receive, track, and allocate material into inventory or other warehouse locations.
  • Inspection and Quality Control: Inspect inbound shipments for damage and/or missing material.
  • Packing and Shipping: Pick, pack, label, and verify material for outbound shipments.
  • Customer Service: Answer phone calls, emails, and respond in a timely manner regarding shipments, carrier pricing, transfers, and sales team inquiries.
  • Inventory Management: Use online portals for data entry, courier shipping labels, and Bill of Lading (UPS, FedEx, and other LTL carriers).
  • Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA): Sort incoming RMA's and work with the RMA department to create invoices and send to Head Office.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving: Communicate discrepancies to appropriate locations and departments.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Ensure a clean and safe work environment, including emptying trash cans, replacing trash liners, sweeping work areas, and refilling soap and paper towels in restrooms.
  • Cycle Counting and Reporting: Perform and oversee cycle count, report on overstock, shortages, damaged, or missing goods.
  • Timekeeping and Attendance: Oversee timekeeping of employees and report any Health & Safety issues.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate power-jack/pallet jack/scale/dock plate used in daily movement of stock.
Requirements and Skills:
  • Education: Completion of secondary high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role in any manufacturing or distribution industry.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with others.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Physical Demands: Stand for long periods of time, some heavy lifting (50-75 pounds), and occasional reaching, kneeling, and bending.
  • Location: Must reside in the Greater Buffalo area or Niagara Falls.
