We are seeking a highly skilled Test Stand Technician to join our team at Daikin Applied Americas Inc. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of electrical and refrigeration systems, as well as excellent technical skills.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain test stand equipment, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
- Adjust controls and settings as necessary to meet specifications, using computer test software and technical documentation.
- Identify and troubleshoot electrical and refrigeration system abnormalities, using schematics and blueprints to diagnose issues.
- Communicate test results and progress to team members and supervisors, using effective communication skills.
- Train new team members on test equipment, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S program standards.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures, including HOMESafe and Personal Choice requirements.
- Perform quality control checks on test results, identifying and reworking defective work pieces as needed.
- Read and interpret technical documentation, including blueprints, sketches, and product specifications.
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- 2-year trade school certificate in A/C Refrigeration or equivalent education approved by the company.
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to operate hand tools and powered industrial trucks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
