Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Audiology Extern 4th Year Student to join our team at Ogden Clinic. As a key member of our audiology department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our clinic.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Professional Service: Deliver courteous and professional service to all patients, affiliates, providers, administration, employees, co-workers, insurance company representatives, and vendor representatives.
  • Meet Behavioral Expectations: Support the dignity of all persons and maintain a safe and respectful work environment.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to applicable regulatory requirements and follow guidelines to ensure safety for patients, visitors, and co-workers.
  • Study and Understand Clinic Policies: Familiarize yourself with all Clinic Policies and Procedures, OSHA guidelines, and other relevant regulations.
  • Perform Diagnostic Evaluations: Conduct diagnostic evaluations of hearing, prevention, habilitation, and rehabilitation services for auditory and balance problems.
  • Fit and Program Hearing Aids: Routinely examine the outer structures of the ear, fit, program, and dispense hearing aids as needed.
  • Counsel Patients: Provide reports and coordinate audiological results with other diagnostic data, counseling individuals with auditory disorders and their families.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned, maintaining confidentiality of patient records and employee/co-worker information.
Qualifications
  • Education: Completed a four-year bachelor's degree and three years in a doctoral-level audiology program.
  • Language Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting documents, writing routine reports, and speaking effectively before groups.
  • Computer Knowledge: Experienced in basic word processing and spreadsheet programs, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Physical Abilities: Possess all physical abilities necessary to perform the job, including prolonged sitting, standing, and walking, with moderate exposure to vomit and ear wax.
Environmental Factors

Work in a moderate noise level environment with constant noise from patients, computers, printers, telephones, etc.
