Job Title: Finance Manager

ASM Global, a leading provider of public assembly facilities, is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team at The Millennium Youth Entertainment Complex.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing and implementing facility goals and priorities related to financial management, budgeting, accounting, purchasing, and payroll, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and ASM policies.
  • Supervise payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other accounting functions, as well as personnel.
  • Prepare and perform or assist with event settlements, ensuring accurate financial records.
  • Conduct weekly or bi-monthly bank reconciliations, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Prepare and perform financial statements for both the client and ASM Corporate, including monthly statements, annual budgets, and annual reports.
  • Direct the installation and maintenance of accounting records, ensuring accurate tracking of receipts and expenditures.
  • Maintain general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, inventory, operating expenses, and insurance records.
  • Verify and check the accuracy of general ledger coding, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Direct and participate in cost analyses and rate studies, providing insights for financial decision-making.
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis for each department, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Direct internal audits, reviewing accounting and administrative controls to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Coordinate preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting, working with auditors to verify financial information and procedures.
  • Establish system controls for new financial systems and develop procedures to improve existing systems, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist with the installation and maintenance of new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property, and point-of-sale systems and controls.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

May supervise staff in the Finance Department, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees with Human Resources; and addressing work-related coworker-related concerns.

  • B.S. in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in public accounting and/or financial management at a supervisory level or as department head.
  • Proficient PC experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet search platforms, etc.
  • Proficient in accounting software systems specifically Sage/Peachtree, Quick books Excel, ADP, ABI, and Google Docs.

Extensive knowledge of general and cost accounting, excellent math skills, high aptitude for numerical data, excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational ability are required. Ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information is also necessary. Effective supervisory skills, ability to work under limited supervision, and interact with all levels of staff including management are essential. Ability to work irregular hours, prioritize multiple projects, and meet strict deadlines is also required. A professional attitude and appearance, ability to speak, read, and write in English, and pass a US criminal background check and be authorized to work in the US are necessary qualifications.
