Job Overview:
As a Process Engineer, you will be an integral part of the production team, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency on the manufacturing floor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup and maintenance of production tools and equipment.
- Manage material replenishment and oversee profile offloading.
- Conduct quality inspections and suggest process parameter adjustments.
- Analyze the tuning process and refine pultrusion tooling configurations.
- Utilize AutoCAD for creating and updating technical drawings, as well as performing tolerance stack-up analyses.
- Employ SolidWorks for reviewing existing 3D models and developing poka-yoke and tooling designs.
Documentation and Collaboration:
- Develop and revise tool-specific specifications while coordinating with the tooling department for necessary modifications.
- Participate in the drafting of new window and door products, particularly focusing on fiberglass linears, and contribute to product launches.
Engineering Tasks:
- Allocate approximately 10-20% of your time to engineering-related activities, including design modifications in AutoCAD and 3D modeling in SolidWorks, alongside documentation and design tasks.
Team Interaction:
- Engage in document control and collaborate with the marketing team on technical drawings for promotional materials.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in a production environment with a focus on process improvement.
- Strong skills in Root Cause Analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Soft Skills:
- Action-oriented mindset and ability to work collaboratively.
Work Environment:
- This position is fully on-site and involves close interaction with the manufacturing floor and machinery. You will report directly to the manager and collaborate with support drafters.
